DM Alastair - Alpha Centauri - Fortnightly Sunday - GURPS
Regular Price $35.00DM Alastair - Alpha Centauri - Fortnightly Sunday - GURPS is currently out of stock, however we can order for you.
Earth, 2060. Human civilization is on the brink, and its looming collapse threatens to take the planet with it. In a last-ditch reprieve against extinction, the United Nations commissions the starship Unity, designed to colonize a newly-discovered habitable planet in the Alpha Centauri system. Against all odds, the Unity is constructed and launched, carrying thousands of humanity's best and brightest in cryosleep. All contact with Earth is soon lost.
Alpha Centauri, Mission Year 40. As the Unity approaches its destination, disaster strikes - the ship is mortally wounded by space debris. In its dying hours, panic and mutiny split the crew as the chain of command breaks down. With Captain Garland missing and the command crew divided, emerging factions within the crew make for the landing pods, each bringing with them their own plans for the new world. As planetfall looms, the colonists face a long and desperate struggle against a hostile planet, horrific alien life forms, and each other...
Based on the classic 1999 strategy game Sid Meir's Alpha Centauri, this campaign uses the official Generic Universal Role-Playing System (GURPS) guidebook for the setting, with the GURPS ruleset modified for a beginner-friendly experience.GURPS is mainly played using three six-sided dice, with spare dice - along with character sheets and all other necessary materials - provided by GM Alastair.
