What got you into gaming?
I started on Mario on the NES before I could even walk. I always asked to play D&D as a kid but never could get the books. I got into that as an adult so I could see my friends more often and do more than just go out for lunch. I was hooked on the first session I ran.
Favorite Gaming system to DM/Play?
I have always run 5th Edition. The system doesn't matter, it's just numbers. As long as the stories are fresh and engaging, the system is secondary, I can always make new custom d&d classes, or even remake it as a Sci Fi or mechwarrior game and still be 5e. I use 5e because it's like chess. Everybody knows the rules to chess, so you can just sit down and play, and get to the story.
What would you describe your DM Style like?
There is a running joke in the community that the DM is your enemy and is out to "kill" you. Anybody who believes this should not DM. I am a player. I want to enjoy the story with you, and for that to happen, I need to make you feel a wide range of emotions in one game, whether it be to laugh, cry, panic from a tense encounter, or cheer when you overcome a situation where you thought you would die. And for those to happen, the players need to feel like they can die. I will challenge players, but I will never take pleasure in "killing" them.
